VDI Cloud Office!
Most offices have a server. this is that mysterious computer typically running in a closet. Usually very few people work on it, it just "sits there". Since this server shares the majority of the company working data, this computer is usually the only system that is backed up, IF ANY GET BACKUP UP AT ALL!.

In addition to the mysterious server, each user has a work station connected to the "office network", In most cases, user programs are installed on these work stations and access local data or server data. Additionally, individual user data such as documents, downloads, local accounting data, etc. are also stored on the local work stations. In almost every situation, there is NO BACKUP for these local work stations. When a station dies or becomes corrupted, all local data is lost. Another issue commonly encountered is if a user has to switch work stations. All of that local data stays on the original work station. It does not follow the user from one station to another!

What is "Virtual" and How does VDI work?

Most people familiar with work-stations and servers. Both are computers. A computer (servers and work-stations) is an operating system and application program(s). An operating system is actually a series of programs that run alongside application programs. So a server or work-station is a series of programs running alongside each other (as a server or work-station). A virtualized company consists of a group of server(s) and work-station(s) grouped together (any number of servers and work-stations) as a cluster. These "clusters" and run isolated from each other on a large computer machine.

Each of the virtual machines within a cluster can be connected to from the outside world via the Internet. Connecting to one of these machines can be viewed as extending the monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. through the Internet to a computer screen, mouse and keyboard to somewhere in the world. Essentially, when a user is working at a computer connected to a virtual work-station is actually seeing the virtual machine work-station on their local work station, and the keyboard keys and mouse movements are passed from the local work-station to the virtual work-station. All of the data and work is performed on the virtual machine, not the local. The local work-station can be a Windows or MAC work-station, tablet or even a cell phone.

Benefits:

We often find that most programs actually run faster in a "cluster" as compared to traditional local machines. Program installations, update and maintenance are simplified. Program(s) are installed on a "cluster" simultaneously on all of the server(s) and work-station(s) in the cluster, significantly reducing installation, update and maintenance time. The ENTIRE CLUSTER is backup nightly unnlike a traditional office where only the server data is typically backed up. This includes programs, configurations, and data (server data, work-station data (including all user Documents, Downloads, Desktop file, etc.)). In the event of failure or attack, the entire Cluster can generally be  completely restored within a few hours!

Almost any program that will run on your Windows computer will work on the VDI Cloud
